REGISTRATION

Only registered participants may take part in the Big Sleep. You must have registered online and received your e-mail confirmation and Big Sleep entry ticket.

ENTRY

To ensure a Big Sleep entry ticket you must reach your £25 target by 3rd October 2025. However, there are limited spaces and the event may become sold out before this date. Please note: Should you be entering as a team, please be aware that the equivalent of £25 per team member needs to be raised before tickets can be issued.

BIG SLEEP TSHIRTS AND HOODIES

Targets must be reached or exceeded by midday Thursday 25th September 2025 to be issued with a Big Sleep apparel voucher and guarantee a t-shirt or hoodie on the night.  

If you have cash sponsorship, in order to meet The Big Sleep t-shirt and hoodie target, the sponsorship needs to be dropped in to Seaview by midday on Thursday 25th of September.

Those who meet or exceed the target after this date will not be guaranteed a t-shirt or hoodie on the night, however, we will be doing a second order at midday on Monday the 13th October 2025. Therefore, for people who reach or exceed their targets after the 25th September will be able to be collect their t-shirts or hoodies from Seaview at a later date.

If you do not reach your fundraising targets, Big Sleep t-shirts and hoodies are available to buy and must meet the deadlines above.

PRIZES FOR HIGHEST FUNDRAISERS

We are giving prizes at the event to the individual and team who raise the most sponsorship. The target cutoff dates to determine highest fundraisers are:

• Individual – midday Wednesday 1st October, 2025

• Team – midday Wednesday 1st October, 2025

Cash sponsorship can be dropped into Seaview when we are open to the public Monday-Friday, please visit our website for details of opening times  www.seaviewproject.co.uk or phone 01424 717981 to let us know when you plan to visit.

Highest team fundraisers will be determined by the amount raised divided by the number of team members.

AGE LIMIT

Participants must be aged 18 and over. 

If you are under 18 and would like to participate in the experience, you can in your own safe, private space in agreement with your parents or guardian. We will need to receive written consent from a parent or guardian confirming they are happy for you to sleep outside and have a safe and private space to do so. Please contact admin@seaviewproject.org.uk if you would like to receive the Parent/Guardian Consent form. You will need to source your own sleeping bag and roll mat/ cardboard or box (please see our terms and conditions for further advice on what you need for a sleep out).

Our Big Sleep Team will visit you with a goodie bag of food to help you with the night ahead and the morning breakfast. There will be a prize for the person who raises the highest sponsorship in the Under 18 category. We aim to live stream the event so you can tune in to the LIVE event before bedding down in your safe outdoor space.

PERSONAL HEALTH

It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are fit and healthy to sleep out overnight. If needed, participants should check with their doctor, prior to completing the application form and taking part in the event. Please ensure any medical conditions are stated on your registration form. By ticking the Terms and Conditions when you sign up, you are confirming you are fit and healthy to sleep out. 

A warm sleeping bag and roll mat or cardboard as underlay is essential and you will not be permitted to sleep out without these. Seaview will have limited sleep out items and will be given out on a first serve basis. 

We strongly advise that you have warm and water-proof clothing.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Seaview accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings during the event, whether items are with participants or in the bag drop based in Seaview Wellbeing Centre. We strongly advise no valuable items are brought along to the event. 

PERSONAL SAFETY

You are responsible for your safety, please follow the instructions and directions of marshals, failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave. Please note no open fires are permitted. 

ANIMALS

If you have a registered help-dog please advise us of this when registering. No other animals are permitted at the event.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Failure to comply with the following may result in you being asked to leave: 

Alcohol – This is an alcohol free event, please do not bring your own. Any participant believed to be consuming alcohol or under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave. 

Drugs – Any participant believed to be under the influence of an illegal drug will be asked to leave. 

Smoking – Smoking is not permitted in the sleep out area. Signs and marshals will direct you to areas where you can smoke.  

TOILETS

Please use the toilets in Seaview, which will be open throughout the night. 

EMERGENCY EVACUATION

In the event of an emergency, follow the directions of event managers and marshals. 

DURING THE SLEEP OUT

Please respect that others maybe sleeping around you. Please move away from the ‘sleeping’ area if you wish to chat or talk on your phone, ensuring others are not disturbed. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave. 

LEAVING THE EVENT

The area must be vacated by 6:15am.

Participants must ensure they take all personal belongings with you and ensure any rubbish is put in the bins provided. 

CANCELLATION

Seaview reserves the right to cancel the event without notice. 

DATA PROTECTION

Seaview will use the personal information provided for the purpose of registering you for the event. We will not pass on your details to any other parties. By entering the event you consent to your photograph and/or video recording being used in publications and media material for the sole purpose of promoting and evaluating the event. 

INDIVIDUAL DECLARATION

By registering to participate in the Big Sleep, I confirm and understand that I do so at my own risk. I understand that Seaview will not accept liability for any injury or loss that may occur as a result of my participation in this event. I understand that medical advice should be sought from a general practitioner if I am in doubt as to my physical ability required to complete this event. By submitting the Big Sleep registration form online I am agreeing to comply with the terms and conditions.
